24/7 DIARY ENTRY

Dear Diary
January 13
Amazon.com, you've earned a Brucie for delight and speedy delivery.  I came home from school and noticed that Amy was reading a new book -- Hannibal.  I asked, "Amazon.com already here?"  She responded, "yes, it's already here."  She placed the order on Monday (January 10) and she ordered standard shipping.  Amazon.com decided to provide a free upgrade to USPS Priority Mail.  They have us figured out.  If they keep this up we will return to them for many goods.

A thoughtful and caring 24/7 reader brought to my attention an error in my ways.  I claimed that Peapod was in error when they would not allow me to modify my order on Sunday morning at around 10:00 am (see Jan. 9 diary entry).  It was I, however, who was in error.  I thought I could modify my order up until 12:00 pm on Sunday;  the email from Peapod clearly states that I could have modified my order up until 12:00 am -- midnight -- Sunday (when Saturday becomes Sunday).  Peapod, my humble apologies to you.
