| Unexpectedly, Peapod gets my grocery
business tonight. I returned home from Kansas City in need to feed.
I went to Homeruns to place my usual
order plus a few extras for Amy -- after all, she is one amazing wife and
mom. The Homeruns site was very sluggish; I don't think it was my
connection as other sites worked at a reasonable speed. Sorry Homeruns,
I care about you, but the time delays were intolerable for me this evening.
Batting second, Peapod.
Personally, I'm not as enamored by the Peapod site; don't get me wrong, it's a fine site. The organization of the Homeruns site suits me better. I also find Homeruns personalized assistants to be friendlier and more invested in their company -- hence, they do a better job. I was able to finish my grocery shopping in about 20 minutes; a bit
longer than usual as I am not as familiar with the Peapod site. The
only delivery time available was between 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Monday.
