24/7 DIARY ENTRY

Dear Diary
February 27
Unexpectedly, Peapod gets my grocery business tonight.  I returned home from Kansas City in need to feed.  I went to Homeruns to place my usual order plus a few extras for Amy -- after all, she is one amazing wife and mom.  The Homeruns site was very sluggish; I don't think it was my connection as other sites worked at a reasonable speed.  Sorry Homeruns, I care about you, but the time delays were intolerable for me this evening.  Batting second, Peapod.

Personally, I'm not as enamored by the Peapod site; don't get me wrong, it's a fine site.  The organization of the Homeruns site suits me better.  I also find Homeruns personalized assistants to be friendlier and more invested in their company -- hence, they do a better job.

I was able to finish my grocery shopping in about 20 minutes; a bit longer than usual as I am not as familiar with the Peapod site.  The only delivery time available was between 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Monday.  No problemo.  Bring on the Stop & Shop milk, Stop & Shop skim milk, hamburger, Perdue boneless skinless chicken breast, Perdue precooked chicken nuggets, Stop & Shop cheese slices, Perdue turkey slices, Wilson honey ham slices, Tropicana Original Orange Juice, plain bagels, everything bagels, Stop & Shop cream cheese, Granny Smith apples, Yoplait raspberry yogurt, broccoli, eggs, lettuce, Mott's applesauce, and (aaah) Brigham's chocolate chip ice cream, Brigham's vanilla ice cream, Frito-Layfritos, Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies, Pepperidge Farm Sausalito cookies.
