| Great response time by the IRS.
Today was "get the taxes done" day and I nearly completed my mission.
It feels good getting them done so far in advance; a weight is nearly lifted.
I had a few questions for the Internal Revenue Service, so I cruised over
to their website. It has a kind of nifty look on the homepage.
Unfortunately, the answers to my questions were not online, so I called
the listed toll free telephone number. One of my questions fell into
the category of being handled by a "call back service;" I was told that
I would get a reply to my question via telephone within 48 hours, and an
email response would be sent as a backup. To my surprise and delight,
I received a call back in less than one hour. Perhaps, the IRS is
the Kozmo of US Government agencies?
In addition, the IRS service assistant took me through an entire tax form,
line by line, with a pleasant mood and patience. That's Brucie
territory in my book.
I wish I had similar pleasantries to extol upon CVS; my order has not arrived yet (the order was placed on April 2). Today, however, I received an email informing me that my order has just been shipped. Sorry CVS, Noosie city. The Internet Shopping 24/7 Project Report version 1.0 is complete and it covers the time period of early September 1999 to late March 2000. It is a PDF file and Adobe's Acrobat Reader (available for free) is required for viewing it. The report is optimized for viewing in version 4.05. If you have version 3.0, you might consider upgrading to version 4.05 because it has a search feature and text looks very crisp in it. 1) If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.05, then click

or on
2) Once you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here
