24/7 DIARY ENTRY

Dear Diary
April 17
Go Roe Go.  My Boston Marathon  Homeruns order came in on time; and the cookout proceeded shortly thereafter.  We -- Amy, Michelle (Amy's friend from ASU days and Rochelle's friend), Toby (Rochelle's husband), Ben, Sam and I -- all had a great time and went over to cheer on thousands of runners and Rochelle during the afternoon.  Roe -- as in "Go Roe Go" -- did very well as she automatically qualified for next year's race.  Her official time was 3:42:51 (net time was around 3:38:35) and she came in 8,164 position among all finishers (about 20,000 started the race), 1592 position among all women and 1298 position among all women in her age group..  This is remarkable given that she has been running for only two years.  Oprah would love her story -- "four kids birthed, youngest out of diapers, I am going to take up running."  And run Roe does.  We'll try to convince her to take this seriously and go for the 2004 Olympics.

My CVS order containing my foot pads finally arrived; I placed the order on April 2.  I suspect it will be sometime before I will order from CVS.com again; and, for the record, I enjoyed shopping CVS bricks during the days when I did enter stores.
