| Janet, her name is Janet. The USPS
person who usually delivers packages to us (typically in a Budget
van) came by this morning with an order that Amy had placed for birth announcements
(from a store). I finally asked her for her name and it is Janet.
So now I am on a first name basis with a delivery person. Isn't that
thrilling? And, I'm giving her a Brucie.
Why? Because she brought our home delivered newspapers from the curb
to our front door along with the package that she was delivering (neither
Amy nor I had retrieved them yet). We do not see that type of behavior
too often.
A colleague had sent me the following email:
I found the concepts interesting, but they were not what I intended with my own concept of "My Personal Internet Valet" (see May 12 diary entry). MyLackey states on its site that it will be coming to Boston soon. Anyway, this colleague and I occasionally get into friendly power Internet searching competitions (e.g., races to see who can find first certain things online). I wanted to respond to his email with some URLs that would trump his finds -- though imho (in my humble opinion), this colleague is the master at finding stuff and knowing what is on the Internet. My response to his email was:
http://www.persvalet.com/ (see, I'm not crazy) http://www.personalrealtor.com/jolinda.html http://www.vantagevalet.com/serv04.htm
The Personal Internet Valet Company does appear to offer a service that is extremely similar to my concept of My Personal Internet Valet. I sent them an email asking them when they might come to Boston and I have not yet received a reply. Still no word yet from Cars.com. Recall that I sent in a request for product information and a quote on June 16 to some area dealers. Maybe I misinterpreted Cars.com's following statement from their site: Select Dealers — Serious Buyers Only
