24/7 DIARY ENTRY

Dear Diary
July 8
Homeruns came by right at the start of the delivery zone.  The home delivery person actually pulled up in front of the house and began to unload at 1:55pm (our delivery time period was 2:00pm - 4:00pm), however, he did not come to the door until 2:00pm.  I had a feeling that this would happen.  I did not get his name; it was not Fred or Hector.  The remainder of the day was spent either doing family stuff -- we went to a birthday party and played a lot in the backyard -- or reading my new book The Dreamweaver 3 Bible.  Oh, well, of course I found time to read more about minivans and sport utility vehicles; after all, I can't have a day go by where I am not thinking about cars.

I'm still really surprised by my reaction to the LX470 (i.e., not wanting to get it).  I thought that it was going to be "it."  This could very well mean that I am heading back to minivan territory.  This is fine as I have certainly given it my best shot to find a non minivan that would suit our needs and wants (including budget).  The search continues on -- and I am enjoying it.  I could search for cars for myself or others on a regular basis (well, I guess I do already if you ask family and friends).  I suspect that my search behavior would drive some people a little crazy.  Amy is incredibly patient; and, as I might have said before, I am incredibly lucky to have found someone who was terrific, beautiful, lovely (and add any other favorite superlative), could tolerate some of my quirks, let me be me, and had an interest in spending the rest of her life with me.  She was indeed the one.
