| Water heater blew, what's an Internet warrior to do? Don't fear,
A.O.
Smith online is able and willing to help. I came home to a flooded
basement (water heaters hold a reasonable amount of water) on Thursday
evening. A.O. Smith and my awesome plumber saved the day. Azar
of All A's plumbing (no website yet, available through telephone at 617-325-2929)
came out at 8 am sharp on Friday with water heater in hand (A.O. Smith
did not need to ship item to me; Azar picked it up at a local distribution
site). No cold shower for this netizen.
One home improvement project is on its way to being completed. I need some PVC pipe glue, and went to Housemart.com. I couldn't find the glue online, so I sent off an email request to Housemart.com; their reply was helpful.. My letter: Dear Housemart, Good website. I am extending my sump pump from a few feet away from the house to out to the street. I have the PVC pipe already (I wish I had known about you before my purchase). I will be laying the pipe underground (just below the grass level, not too deep at all) in Boston (we have winters, so it needs to be good for cold weather). I need a glue for holding the pipe and connectors together. I couldn't find it in your website. Do you have it online. Thank you. Sincerely yours, Bruce D. Weinberg Housemart's response: Bruce, Thanks for the compliment, it appears that you have a little project
going there in Boston. We do have the cement that you are looking
for on the website, however the various cements were placed in odd categories.
Sincerely,
