| Computers4Sure.com has
a new friend in me; my printer arrived today. They delivered on their
promises of an in stock item and fast delivery. I ordered my HP
4050 printer on the afternoon of November 15, and it arrived today at 2:00
pm. It was shipped "ground" via UPS
from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
This reminds me of one reason, that I failed to mention before, as to why I placed my order with Computers4Sure.com. Some of their warehouses are relatively nearby, which I knew would translate into a faster delivery time Though there was no guarantee that my item would ship from a nearby warehouse, I liked the idea that this was at least possible (some interesting trivia that I will verify further: a sales representative for Computers4Sure.com told me that items ship from the warehouse that is carrying the most inventory for that item). My understanding about eCost.com and Onvia.com is that they ship from the West Coast. Incidentally, I have done some postpurchase search behavior for the printer model that I purchased. (I guess I want to further validate that I made the best decision.) After placing my order, I noticed that Outpost.com was having a free overnight shipping promotion; there price of $1139 was well above what I paid. Through AltaVista shopping links, I noticed that ValueAmerica sells the HP 4050 printer for $1029, and ships it for free (yet another merchant offering this promotion). I doubt, however, that I would have ordered from them as they had no listed information about product availability. I have noticed more advertising for Onvia.com. I suspect that they are reputable, though I knew on Monday that they did not have the HP 4050 printer in stock (according to one of their customer service representatives). Computers4Sure has earned a Brucie. Way to go C4Sure (my nickname for them). Hey, I now have the ability to print out my diary. |
