| I'm tossing my hat into the ring and opening my own online store; It
will be known as Bruce's Corner Five and Dime. I am now an Amazon.com
Associate. For many years, I have wanted to own and operate a store.
I have always enjoyed meeting people, developing relationships and helping
others solve their problems. The retailing romance of greeting customers
as they walk through my door, and serving their needs is exciting to me.
Amazon.com is helping me realize a dream. As an Amazon.com Associate,
I provide links to Amazon.com where you can shop until you drop.
(Please understand that, technically, any purchase transaction is ultimately
between you and Amazon.com). Incidentally, as my store evolves, I
will provide links to other online merchants.
At first, as I learn the ropes, the number of links that I provide will be minimal. Later, I hope to provide an extensive set of links. Please visit BRUCE'S CORNER FIVE AND DIME. The Aladdin video arrived yesterday. The ebay seller, stealth825@aol.com is outstanding. The product was exactly as described, packaged well, and shipped promptly. He constantly provided me with email status reports about the transaction (e.g., item packaged, check received, item shipped with tracking number). Stealth825@aol.com gets a Brucie for great service. KBKids service department let me know that my items shipped on December 1; they included tracking numbers so that I can follow their shipping status. Buy.com informed me that the Batman video has not shipped yet. They also let me know that the Charlie Brown video has shipped. Streamline forgot to deliver our frozen food items. They did respond promptly to this error and will deliver the items promptly. Believe it or not, I am giving Zoots another try. I sent an email to their Webmaster indicating that I was canceling my service. Nevertheless, Zoots kept coming by looking for my dry cleaning. The other night, I spoke with the delivery manager -- Jim (last name withheld) -- and he told me that he did receive my email and that it was not legible (my belief is that this was because of their technology), and hence, the delivery person kept coming by my house looking for laundry. Any way, Jim understood my situation and apologized by explaining that they were still getting some kinks out of their system as they were just starting up. He was not trying to sell me at all. We had a pleasant conversation and I found him to be trustworthy and an asset to Zoots (he shared some of their error rate information with me). I will either speak with or leave a voicemail for the President of Zoots and let him know about this skilled employee. Zoots collected my dry cleaning on Friday morning. It will return on Tuesday. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it turns out well. |
