24/7 DIARY ENTRY

Dear Diary
December 19
We all live in a Yellow Submarine, Yellow Submarine, Yellow Submarine.  With a $10 off coupon from Amazon sitting on my desk, I ordered action figures of The Fab 4 from the Yellow Submarine (from Amazon, of course).  I enjoyed the Beatles music when I was growing up (I used the album Help as home plate back in 1965 -- I kick myself nowadays for that decision) and I still enjoy their music today.  I have every CD of their original albums.  When I was in high school, I was a member of the Beatles V, John, Paul, George, Ringo and Fred.  Guess which one was my stage name?  Alas, Fred -- definitely the most talented and versatile of the Beatles V :-).  We were the hands down favorites of the talent show during our senior year (we even got an encore call).  We split up over educational differences (i.e., we all went to different undergraduate institutions after graduating high school).  I doubt we will ever get back together again.  If Saturday Night Live were to call me -- I'll state for the record -- I would get back together with me old blokes in a heart beat (though I may never forgive Paul for always telling me whom I could and could not date).

The price of each figure was $8.99 at Amazon, $9.99 at etoys (only John, Paul and Ringo were available), $7.99 on sale at KBkids (only John and Paul were available), and $7.99 at ToysRus (only John and Paul were available).  Another item that I considered purchasing was the Corgi Toy Yellow Submarine.  It was priced at $49.99 at Amazon and $39.99 at etoys.  A couple other Corgi toy items were available, The Magical Mystery Tour Bus, and Newspaper Taxi with Rita the Meter Maid.

My 13th favorite thing to buy online is a Batman Beyond, Joker Leader.
